Project Overview
The Corning YMCA Project was a 45,000 square foot addition to an existing public athletic facility. The new addition houses the primary public swimming space, complete with a six lane pool children’s wading pool and whirlpool area. The addition has an abundance of natural light with large and higher clerestory glazed areas to allow for occupants to have views out to the City of Corning. A night the facility glows with light and activity. The addition also has a 2500 SF fitness area overlooking the pool. Extensive site work was completed as part of this project providing a new drive lane, parking lot and new public entrance.
