Project Overview

This project was the renovation of a firehouse workshop, sponsored as part of a Maxwell House/HGTV program, “Spruce Up Your Firehouse” with “Design on a Dime” star Kristin Cunningham. It involved removing the dropped ceiling from a cluttered room used for storage, installing a mezzanine and fire pole, and incorporating new cabinetry to organize the firehouse’s necessary tools.

A large air compressor, which we left in place, became a focal point, rather than a dust-catcher.

Our design also incorporated bold bright colors derived from the common colors found in the fire station.

Project entailed working with fire fighters to design and renovate the 250 square foot space.

Project budget was $10,000 (including design fees) for the firehouse workshop, which is used to properly store and maintain equipment. Our renovations consisted of reorganizing the space.
