JSA understands that achieving client objectives, meeting design goals, maintaining budget, fostering trust and sticking to a schedule are the most important components of any project. At the core of this studio is President and Principal, John Snyder, who has worked in the architectural profession since 1983 and is very focused on the latest in cutting edge architectural and interior design. He is actively involved with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) where he has participated in a number of different roles. On the Committee on Design, he served as the chair of the Twenty-Five Year Award nomination committee from 2012-2016. Additionally, he was the former president of the Southern NY Chapter of the AIA and a former Board of Director for AIA New York State from 2016-2018.
In 2010, John was selected by the Architecture Foundation of Australia to attend the Glenn Murcutt Masterclass taught by Pritzer award-winning architect, Glenn Murcutt. John is firmly committed to intelligent design solutions to make each project design maintain a diverse and productive environment.
JSA maintains an active list of preferred consultants, engineers, and designers to assist on any project. Maintaining these relationships is an important means of meeting clients needs.
We also fully support working with consultants who are Women, Minority and Veteren Owned Business’s (WBE/VBE/MBE).
John Snyder Architects main office is located in Ithaca, NY and a Clifton Park office serves clients in the Albany, Hudson Valley regions of NY.
